GIS Committee History

The GIS Committee was established by the Logan County Board in November, 2005. The committee was comprised of Logan County office holders and municipal representatives, as well as representatives from Regional Planning, Emergency Management, NRCS, and Economic Development. The GIS committee provided recommendations to the Finance Committee of the County Board for GIS expenditures.  The GIS Committee was responsible for the expansion and development of the Geographic Information System in Logan County.

The GIS Committee was dissolved in 2017 by the County Board.  Day-to-day GIS administration is handled through County staff.  Funding decisions are made by the County Board through their committees.
