On behalf of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, I would like to welcome you to our website.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office serves the public offering a Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Civil Process, Court Security, and a Jail with a rated capacity of 65 inmates. The Sheriff's Office provides 24 hour law enforcement coverage and response to Logan County.

Logan County is located in central Illinois and has a population of approximately 29,245. The Sheriff's Office is responsible for patrolling approximately 619 square miles. Lincoln is the county seat. Logan County also includes the towns/villages of Atlanta, Beason, Broadwell, Burtonview, Chestnut, Cornland, Elkhart, Emden, Hartsburg, Lake Fork, Latham, Lawndale, Middletown, Mt. Pulaski, New Holland, Union, and a portion of San Jose. 

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office will, within its lawful jurisdiction and in accordance with state and federal laws, take appropriate action to protect life and liberty, preserve the peace, prevent crime, and detect and arrest violators of the laws and ordinances of this county, state, and country.

Our primary goal is to provide the citizens of Logan County with the finest and most professional law enforcement services available today, and to keep Logan County a safe place to work, play, and raise a family.
