If you are looking for an exciting career in Law Enforcement and want to be hired by a very progressive and professional agency, please look over the requirements and complete a written test with the National Testing Network. To fill out a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com. Once on the site, select the Law Enforcement tab and scroll to Illinois where you will find the Logan County Sheriff's Office. There is a $49 fee for the written test.

Upon completion of the exam, all candidate scores are automatically forwarded to the Logan County Sheriff's Office. Candidates who attain a passing score on the exam may be invited to continue in the testing process which includes an oral board interview, thorough background investigation, polygraph test, psychological test, and a drug test. Candidates who are not currently certified Illinois Law Enforcement Officers must successfully pass the POWER test (http://www.ptb.illinois.gov/media/1320/power.pdf) in order to be accepted into the training academy.
